Nineteen year old John Theodore Dalton contracted Tuberculosis in 1918. He entered Dr. Edward Livingston Trudeau's sanitarium at Saranac Lake, New York in 1922. Jack, as his friends called him, was a musician, a poet, a playwright, a lover of the classics, a radio enthusiast, and to some, the very spirit of Trudeau Sanatorium.
We're Phill and Tyler, and we think Jack was a pretty cool guy. So, we're writing a chamber musical about him, to be performed ... well, sometime next season, maybe. That's the goal, and this is the story. And Saranac Lake's. And Jack's. And we think he'd like it a whole lot.
Follow along, give us a hand, and hang out with us as we write and produce a chamber musical, from scratch, for better or for worse.
